Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide exceptional hair care and continuous education to our clients, staff and stylists in a welcoming environment where everyone feels their best. Meet the incredible team who brings our vision to life each and every day.

Saskia

Founder

Saskia opened her salon in 2008 with a few goals in mind: to deliver the best in client service and high-quality hair care to the Southeast Valley while becoming the innovative hub for the beauty industry. She has done just that. Saskia is a Redken-certified colorist with international recognition with accolades in Allure Magazine for "Best Colorist in Phoenix". Her certifications are extensive in color and cutting of all hair textures. Saskia is certified in EasiHair Pro Extensions and enjoys giving women an option for fuller and or longer hair in no longer than one hour. Saskia also has an extensive male clientele tailoring both cuts and gray blending for that distinguished and polished look.

Saskia is a former KEVINMURPHY Diamond.Key and has trained in London, Australia, Scottsdale, Manhattan, Las Vegas, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, and Dallas, and worked alongside Kevin Murphy and his International Team at the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week and Show.Me events in London, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle and New York. Teaching is a passion of hers and passing along foundational strengths of hairdressing to our next generations. Saskia is also involved in the local growth of new hairdressers working directly with the Aveda Institute and Avalon School of Cosmetology.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and toddler son seeing life through their lens. Traveling and exploring the world is by far her favorite thing to do, "Learning about people outside our local bubble is fascinating! People tell you so much without directly communicating. It gives everyone a softer side which makes us all relatable.

Ally

Stylist, Colorist, Extension Specialist, Director of Education

Ally is one of our Master Stylists and has been at Saskia Salon since opening day. With over 13 years of experience, not only has she mastered her craft behind the chair, she also enjoyed many years being a Platinum Educator for KEVIN.MURPHY, traveling and teaching other stylists outside of her home salon. Ally is our Director of Education and now enjoys mentoring and bringing an educational structure to the Saskia Salon Associate Program.

Ally specializes in thorough consultations and client communication. She has multiple certifications in styling, cuts and coloring to include a most prestigious international standing as a Redken-certified haircolorist. She loves giving her clients beautiful, dimensional color and enhancing their natural beauty with a tailor made cut. Ally is also our specialist in hair extensions both permanent and non-permanent extension option.

In her personal life, if she's not planning a vacation to Disneyland, she's probably catching up on sleep from chasing around her toddler. Her biggest joy comes from her family, her husband of 10+ years and their baby girl Charley.

Lettie

Stylist, Colorist, Cutting Master, Extension and Retexturing Specialist

Lettie is a Creative Master Stylist with over 19 years of experience in the Industry. Her education and Certifications are quite impressive from Toni and Guy color and design, Vidal Sassoon color and design, Saco color and design, Redken New York color and design, and Kérastase.

Being a Master Stylist of many years her expertise includes extensions of both Great Lengths and Easi Hair tape in, global keratin treatments, creative cuts from pixies to precision lines, long-length layered wearable designs, dimensional brunettes, reds, blondes, grey reduction and natural blending for a soft grow out, Balayage and Ombre applications, Men's Designs, Hair Repair Kérastase Treatments with Scalp Massage. She enjoys doing makeovers and creating a look that's specific to her clients' every hair need and lifestyle.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with my close friends and family, reading, yoga, giving back to our community, and creating new memories and experiences.

Maya

Stylist, Colorist, Global Keratin Specialist, Fashion Color, Makeup Artist, Kerastase Ambassador

Maya, a native of Arizona and licensed Cosmetologist, specializes in hair color, highlights, balayage, vivid colors, curls, styling, and makeup artistry. Maya fell in love with her career the moment she realized it’s more than just hair and makeup, it’s building a long-lasting relationship with her clients. "I want all my clients to feel loved, welcomed, and beautiful in my chair," says Maya. She dedicates a lot of free time to learning new techniques to keep her up to date on new trends. This ensures she can provide you with the latest and greatest in hair care.

As a Kérastase ambassador, Maya provides top product knowledge so you have a full understanding of how and when to use your personally prescribed products for home maintenance. Outside of work, Maya's favorite thing to do is try new restaurants. Maya says, "I would love to share some of my favorite spots and I love when my clients share theirs with me. I enjoy growing my clientele and can’t wait to meet you in my chair!"

Frank

Stylist, Colorist, Men’s Cutting

Frank is a Creative Master Stylist with over 16 years of experience in the industry. His education and certifications are extensive from Toni and Guy color and design, Vidal Sassoon color and design, Saco color and design, and Redken New York color and design. Frank has also had the best of international trainers as he is always trying to stay on top of the latest and greatest our industry has to offer.

His specialties include dimensional brunettes, reds and blondes, grey reduction and natural blending, balayage and ombre applications, and global keratin treatments. When it comes to cutting Frank enjoys fashion-forward pixies, mid-length and long-length layered designs. He is well versed in men's styling from fades and blended designs to longer lengths and beard trims.

He always recommends specialized hair repair treatments for all his clients and his Kérastase Treatments with Scalp Massage are a client favorite. Frank also enjoys guiding his clients through Makeovers be it subtle or complete make-over.

In his free time, Frank loves the outdoors, fishing and hiking. He also enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and giving back to our community.

Jessica

Stylist, Colorist, Men’s Cutting

When Jessica was in college in Oklahoma, her hairdresser (who felt like a second mom to her) told her she had the personality for the beauty industry. After she had passed, Jessica started to realize that maybe she was on to something. In early 2017, she took a leap of faith and enrolled in cosmetology school. Since becoming a stylist, her passion for hair has grown tremendously.

She enjoys visiting with all of her clients, who range from little kids to mature adults. She loves hair color and cuts and can do a good amount of retexturing services called Global KeratinTreatments. Her passion for the industry comes to life when she is behind the chair.

Besides doing hair at Saskia Salon, Jessica is a regular volunteer for the 4h program at Sunshine Acres children’s home, where she gets to keep pursue her passion for livestock and mentoring kids. She has three fur babies at home that keep her on her toes.

Makayla

Stylist, Colorist, Barbering Specialist

Makayla has a real passion for working with clients at Saskia Salon and for hair. She enjoys helping clients feel and look like the best versions of themselves.

She moved to Phoenix, Arizona from the Pacific North West where she was a professional barber for three years. She has kept up on color and long hair cut trends and enjoys the freedom of creativity that comes with the job.

Makayla's second passion is animals. She has two cats and a three year old horse named, Holly. Riding horses is another passion of hers. When she's not working hard making everyone look beautiful at the salon, she's outside enjoying time with her horse.

Evelyn

Stylist

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Evelyn moved to Phoenix in 2018 and has loved every moment. She attended the Aveda Institude and knew immediately she wanted to be a stylist for Saskia Salon.

She is a stylist at the salon and specializes in fashion and fantasy color as well as creative cutting. Prior to entering the beauty industry, Evelyn served in the United States Air Force. This awarded her the opportunity to travel the world and gain a variety of experiences. The best thing to come out of working in the military ... she met the love of her live. Together, they share a yellow lab named Riko.
